Before outlets start trying to marry Cameron Diaz off to Alex Rodriguez, the star has a few things to say about the institution of matrimony.
The Green Hornet star tells Maxim in their upcoming “Hot 100″ issue that she believes marriage is a dying institution.
“I think we have to make our own rules,” Diaz states. “I don’t think we should live our lives in relationships based off old traditions that don’t suit our world any longer.”
The actress also touches on the topic of marriage in the June issue of British Elle, saying, “I think a lot of people are married to people they’re not romantic with anymore.”
“I just didn’t ever marry anybody that I then had to get divorced from. We break up. We move on,” explains the star.
