Jackie Cooper Dies at 88

Jackie Cooper, the Oscar-nominated child actor whose career included ranged from the “Our Gang” series to Superman movies, has died.
He was 88.
Cooper received a 1931 Academy Award nomination for Skippy at the age of 9, still the youngest performer ever nominated for a leading role.
As an adult, Cooper won Emmy Awards for his work directing series like “M*A*S*H*” and “The White Shadow.”
He played Daily Planet newspaper editor Perry White in the Christopher Reeve run of Superman movies
