Samuel L. Jackson now writting Childrens books?
Samuel L. Jackson is one of my favorite actors with his straight to the point, raw style. So when I heard he wrote a children’s book called Go the F*** to Sleep I was somewhat perplexed.
The book called Go the F*** to Sleep isn’t a childrens book but a book for parents who want their kids to go the F*** to sleep. Written by Adam Mansbach profane, affectionate, and radically honest verses perfectly capture the familiar – and unspoken – tribulations of putting your little rugrat down for the night. Letting parents know its ok to be frustrated and laugh about the crazy things your kids do day-in and day-out.
Known for some infamous movie lines Mr. Jackson was Mansbach’s first choice to Narrate his book. He even has a simular line to the title in his film Snakes On A Plane.
Jackson explained in the narration before reading the text of the book:
I was anxious to do the audio read of this book because my agent has twins and he gave me the book and I read it and I fell out laughing. I remember all those times when I did read to my daughter when she was that age. Everybody tells you reading stories will put kids to sleep, but it never works. It didn’t in my house.
For a short time, you can download a free copy of Samuel L. Jackson reading Go the F*** to Sleep from Audible’s store on Amazon.com. A video of Jackson recording the audio book can be seen on The Onion’s news wire. Tell me what you think!
