Some reporter tried to get REAL SLICK with actor Will Smith . . . by attempting to KISS HIM ON THE LIPS on the red carpet. Well the PHILLY came out of Will . . . and he BACKHAND SLAPPED dude ... right in his MOUTH.

But Will didn't get too rattled, he stayed on the red carpet . . . and continued doing interviews like NOTHING HAPPENED. Guess THAT puts all those WILL IS GAY rumors to rest.
