Halle Berry Files Claims On Ex-Boyfriend For Violating Child Custody Agreement

Just days after pics of Gabriel Aubry and his daughter Nahla strolling through Santa Monica hit the web, TMZ is reporting that Halle Berry went to family court this morning, complaining that he violated the custody agreement over their 3-year-old.To reinforce her point, her lawyer submitted a lengthy court document claiming Gabriel has put Nahla at risk, the website reported.

Sources tell TMZ that Halle is concerned for Nahla when she’s in the care of Gabriel. “Our sources would not be specific about the violations, but we’re told it has to do with requirements Gabriel was supposed to follow when he had custody of Nahla,” TMZ stated. “The lengthy documents go into great detail about Gabriel’s parenting skills, claiming there was once an incident overseas when Gabriel allegedly neglected Nahla, imperiling her safety. “Halle wanted the judge to find Gabriel in violation of the custody order. Gabriel was not in court today, and the judge set a hearing on the matter for later.”

Halle Berry Determined To Break The Cycle Of Abuse After Loss Of Hearing

Halle Berry attended the Mayor’s Fund Benefit Dinner in New York City last week in support of The Family Justice Centers which assists in domestic violence prevention and intervention. Continuing her personal mission to raise awareness on the serious issue of domestic violence, she shared her personal struggle of watching her mother be abused and in turn, as an adult she chose men that were just like her father: “When I was a girl and my mother had the s–t kicked out of her, her self-esteem moved onto me.” “I devalued myself and thought I wasn’t worth it. I chose partners that mimicked my father. It was only when I was in an abusive relationship and blood squirted on the ceiling of my apartment and I lost 80% of my hearing in my ear that I realized, I have to break the cycle.” “I want women to stand up and break the silence and get rid of the shame and the fear and find a way to stand up for themselves.” Back in 2004, Christopher Williams ratted out actor Wesley Snipes as the guy who abused Halle: The stuff they wrote about [me] and Halle was totally false. They said something like I busted her eardrum, and I’m tired of it. I never said it [before] but I’m so tired of people thinking I’m the guy [who did it]. Wesley Snipes busted her eardrum, not me. Ever since then, Halle has vowed that she would leave the relationship at the first sign that abuse may take place. “I never had to run to a shelter, but I did choose the wrong partners. Not always good men. Luckily, in recent years, I have been smart enough to hit the door when violence even becomes a possibility. That is something I will not tolerate.” I’m so happy to see that Halle recognizes the cycle must be broken, especially as a mother of a young daughter.
