Oprah Winfrey - Media mogul Oprah Winfrey hopes to charge advertisers $1 million for each 30-second spot
Oprah Winfrey - Media mogul Oprah Winfrey hopes to charge advertisers $1 million for each 30-second spot during the finale of her hugely successful The Oprah Winfrey Show. Think that price tag is steep? Reportedly, NBC more than ten years ago charged $2 million per 30 second spot for the finale of "Friends" and $1.42 million for "Frasier".
“The final episode of ‘Oprah’ - in fact the final weeks of ‘Oprah’ - will be a TV event,” CBS spokeswoman Leslie Ryan said in a statement to Bloomberg News. “Like the Super Bowl or the finales of ‘Friends’ or ’Frasier,' advertisers are always anxious to be part of event shows and the huge ratings they garner.”
Oprah Winfrey’s last show will air on May 25 - will you be watching?
